Ein weiteres Projekt habe ich diese Woche begonnen. Eigentlich wollte ich Knochennadeln zum Nadelbinden versuchen, aber der Knochen wollte es anders. Ich hatte nur eine Reh-Rippe daheim und übrig blieb von einem Nadelbindteil mal nur dieses Schmuckstück. Ich habe es rein mit Feile und Nagelfeile sowie Stanleymesser bearbeitet, danach mit feinem Schleifpapier geschliffen. Es ist eine wirklich gelungene Nähnadel geworden, die leicht durch Wolle und Leinen zumindest gleitet.
Another project I began this week. Actually I wanted to make a bone needle for needle binding but the bone wanted it otherwise. I had only a rib of a deer at home and from the piece for the needle-binding piece remained only this jewel. I did it only with a file and nail file and a cutter, afterwards smoothed it with fine sandpaper. It's become a really successful sewing needle that runs neatly through wool and linen at least.
