Pommernschaf-Bolero

In November I got a spinning wheel! Nothing special, a fusion of a two travel wheels. In exchange I sewed a pair of Rococo bodies and a caraco which turned out as nice as the wheel.
The wheel came in species-appropiate packing: wool! It was Pommern sheep wool, washed but not already combed. And of course, upcycling is a topic of our time, I first spinned the wool to yarn. It got a nice grey colour and a thickness that is good to knit. As it was my first try the wool got not too even and that fitted into my concept. Out came a foot ball of yarn and a bit of it I knitted into that simple bolero. Although Pommern sheep is not the softest wool it is quite warm and rustic what I like in this piece.
