Bergere

Since the woman of Rococo world needs a headdress I got inspired by Godiva and searched for a placemat. Yeah, you've read it correctly :) Besides sources of supply and affordability of Rococo hats I've got the problem that every hat is too big for me or rather my head is too small.
So I bought this placemat really cheap and decorated it with everything I had at home.

Around the border runs a ring of rattan which I sewed to it with a white satin ribbon to give the hat a little more support. Under the broad cream-coloured ribbon which is sewed down, runs another rattan rod. With another rattan ring I did the enhancement in the middle. This was decorated with the rest of the tartan dress ribbon, a border attached around and as many artificial flowers as possible glued on. This hatform is called Bergere.
